FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who is responsible for paying for cleaning services?

Homeowner’s insurance will typically pay for any clean-up costs associated with an accidental death.  Contractors are unable to determine which benefits you qualify for, but your insurance company will let you select the cleaning service that you feel most comfortable with.

If your homeowner’s insurance does not defray the cost of our cleaning services, we accept all major credit cards.  Whatever your finances, our team will work with you to choose the best payment option for you.

Can my Homeowner’s Insurance pay for the cost of your services?

Many insurance providers will pay for any clean-up expenses.  Our company has established professional relationships with most major insurance providers, allowing us to work directly between each party for your benefit.

Do I have to select your services if referred to someone else?

Absolutely not.  You will always make the final decision when choosing a cleaner.  Large insurance companies maintain lists of recommended companies, but they frequently lack the professional know-how required.  Our expert cleaning services are unrivalled, but we will never require you to partner with us if you’re not comfortable.

How quick is your turnaround time after I contact you?

Offering 24/7 cleaning services, our goal is to arrive on the scene as quickly as possible.  Our locally-based technicians are familiar with their respective territories and will work around your schedule, both day and night.  We’re here to assist you in whatever way we can.

We strongly recommend leaving the clean-up process to trusted professionals that have the tools and protective equipment to safely clean a crime scene.

Why should I use a professional cleaning service when I can clean-up myself?

While we will never force you to use our services, attempting to clean a crime scene by yourself is never advised.  You risk exposing yourself to pathogens and other toxic chemicals that can seriously damage your health.  Attempting to restore a site yourself can result in further emotional trauma, something that we would never want to put one of our customers through.

We strongly recommend leaving the clean-up process to trusted professionals that have the tools and protective equipment to safely clean a crime scene.

What risks do I face when cleaning a site myself?

Numerous dangerous bacteria, chemicals, and particles can jeopardize your health. The emotional distress caused by cleaning up after a loved one’s accident or suicide can have long-term consequences.  You deserve to be protected from this unnecessary exposure by hiring a certified and professional cleaning service.

Once the cleaning is complete, how safe will it be?

Once fully cleaned the entire site will be safe for your family and loved ones.  Our ultimate goal is to make sure that the scene is devoid of any lingering odours, stains, or soiled surfaces. Should you by any chance require any additional cleaning, let us know and we’ll gladly come back for a follow-up consultation.

When blood is removed, does it mean the cleaning is complete?

Not necessarily. Blood and other fluids can easily seep into surfaces, making them undetectable to the naked eye.  In order to completely clean a site, our team may have to remove these invisible containments.  We’re armed with the tools and cleaning products to take your site back to pre-loss condition.

Will the police clean up?

Police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and law enforcement officials are not legally responsible to clean up after a dramatic loss.  That responsibility falls to the homeowner.

How long does a clean-up take?

The clean-up period will vary greatly depending on the situation.  Depending on the scope of the job, what tools we will use, and how many team members it will require, it could range from several hours to several days.  After our initial meeting, we will provide you with a complete plan of action, including an estimated time of completion.

Are you certified?

All of our clean-up professionals are trained and certified in the latest techniques in property restoration.  We constantly require our employees to keep their certifications up-to-date and attend regular training seminars and conferences across the country.

Why shouldn’t I choose a national clean-up company?

As a locally-owned cleaning company, we offer professional and compassionate services during very emotional times for our customers.  Our commitment to taking your mind off cleaning will let you take care of your loved ones as we restore your site to pre-loss condition.

Why can I trust you over other cleaning services?

You are never obligated to choose us over another cleaning company. We leave that decision entirely up to you. However, our team strives to fulfill all your post-trauma cleaning needs through numerous ways.  Our team offer you the following:

  • Decades of biohazard remediation experience
  • Local cleaning technicians
  • Success working on homeowner’s insurance claims
  • Exceptional customer referrals
  • Full compliance with OSHA standards
  • Compliance with all local, state, and federal remediation laws
  • Continuing education for all team members

What do you guarantee?

We always provide our customers with a document which outlines all the services to be completed.  Our team will work quickly and discretely to clean your site in the fastest manner possible, helping you get on the track to recovery.  That’s our promise to you.

Do I have to be present while your team is working?

No.  If you choose not to be on-site during our cleaning process, we completely understand.  Whether you’d like to monitor our work, or only visit once the job is complete, our team will treat your home with the same respect as if it was their own.

How do you remove any lingering odours?

Our team prides itself in finding the proper cleaning product to remove any foul or lingering smells.  Minimally-invasive and deep-penetrating, these solutions will remove the source of the intrusive odour.  Without seeking out the cause of the smell, it may remain for weeks, months, or even years.

If I live out of state, can I still use your services?

Yes. Even if you live outside one of our service areas, but have a family member near us, we will work with you to clean-up a local site.  Contact us directly and our team will establish a cleaning plan that can be completed efficiently to restore your site to pre-loss condition.

If I hired another company and they made it worse, can you help?

Yes.  We understand that some cleaning companies are not up to the proper standards.  Let us know the issue at hand and our team will move quickly to help however we can.  We stand by our work and guarantee it is only of the highest quality.

Can I simply have my employees clean-up for me ?

No.  Business owners can not let their employees clean up after any suicide or accidental death.  Anyone cleaning up a potentially toxic site must follow Federal Regulation 29CFR1910.1030, which maintains that no individual can be exposed to blood spills without:

  • Receiving blood-borne pathogen training
  • A written blood-borne pathogen control plan
  • Use of personal protective equipment
  • Having been offered Hepatitis B vaccine protection
